Tealhand on Android
The phone app is where you confirm things: cards, your fingerprint, your agent's questions. Its keys stay in the phone's secure hardware.
$ Tealhand.apk: not released yet
The signed APK comes with the first release, built and signed by the Teal team. Until then, build a debug APK from source and install it with adb.
Build it today
You need: Android 10 or newer with a screen lock; on the computer: Rust, cargo-ndk 4.1.2, the Android SDK and NDK 30.0.16248370, adb and Flutter 3.47.7.
First, get the code and build the Rust core.
git clone https://github.com/tealvpn/tealhand
cd tealhand
rustup toolchain install
cargo install --locked cargo-ndk@4.1.2
export ANDROID_HOME="$HOME/Android/Sdk"
export ANDROID_NDK_HOME="$ANDROID_HOME/ndk/30.0.16248370"
apps/mobile/tool/android_libs.shThen build the app and install it on your phone.
cd apps/mobile
flutter pub get --enforce-lockfile
flutter build apk --debug
adb install -r build/app/outputs/flutter-apk/app-debug.apkTurn on USB debugging on the phone first. On Windows, run these in Git Bash.
Then open Tealhand and scan a computer's code.
On its first start the app checks for a screen lock and asks how your devices find each other: your own relay, the public relays, or this network only.
Every option, the firewall and updating: Install the phone app. Stuck? Ask in #help on Discord.
