Getting started

Install from Google Play
On the TV open Google Play and search “Teal VPN”, or send it to your TV from Google Play on your phone.

Scan to sign in
Scan the code on the TV with your phone and approve. Free accounts take a minute to make.

Press Connect
The first time, Android asks once if Teal may set up a VPN. Choose OK.
Video uses a lot of data
HD video can use 1–3 GB an hour, so Teal Free’s 500 MB a day runs out quickly on a TV. Teal Pro has no daily limit.
Apps that skip the VPN
With app tunnelling you choose which apps use Teal. Everything else uses your normal connection.
Casting and smart home

Fire TV is different
