Free VPN in India

What Teal Free gives you in India

Teal Free costs nothing and asks for no payment details. Every day you get 500 MB of data, shared by your devices, on the Lithuania location, for up to 2 devices. The 500 MB reset every day, and the app shows what is left. There are no ads in the app, and no browsing logs.

500 MB a day covers mail, messaging, maps, UPI and banking apps, and most browsing on café, hotel, campus or airport Wi-Fi. It does not cover video streaming or big downloads; that is what Teal Pro is for.

Get it on your phone, PC or TV

• Android phones and tablets: Teal VPN is on Google Play for Android 8 and later. Phones without Google Play install the same app as a direct APK from tealvpn.com.
• Windows 10 and 11: a signed download for PCs and laptops. On a PC, Teal Free needs Teal VPN on your phone with the same account, or a PC with a TPM 2.0 security chip.
• Mac: a signed installer for MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Apple silicon Macs, macOS 13.3 or later.
• Linux: a .deb for Ubuntu, Debian and Linux Mint, Intel, AMD and ARM.
• Android TV and Google TV: from Google Play on the TV, or the direct download with the Downloader app. How it works on a TV.
• Chromebook: from Google Play on ChromeOS.

One account covers all of them. Sign in with the same Google account or email on every device and your plan follows you.

Teal Pro: Delhi and every other location

Teal Pro has a location in Delhi, and locations in Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney, Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Stockholm, Zurich, Toronto and Chicago. The current list is on the locations page. Pro also removes the daily data limit and allows 3 devices.

Pro is $7.99 a month, $24 for 6 months or $36 a year in US dollars; Google Play shows the price in rupees. The monthly and yearly plans start with 7 days free, and you can cancel inside Google Play at any time.

Pay without a card

In the Android app, Teal Pro is bought through Google Play billing, which offers UPI, net banking, cards and Google Play balance in India. On the website you can pay by card or in crypto. Teal Free needs no payment at all.

In your language

The apps and this website are available in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu, among 36 languages. The app follows your phone’s language by itself, and you can change it in the app.

Is a free VPN in India safe?

Check three things before you trust a free VPN: who makes it, how it is paid for, and what it keeps. Teal VPN is made by Fxolio LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, USA. It is paid for by Teal Pro subscribers, not by ads or by selling data. It keeps no browsing logs, no DNS logs and no record of the sites you visit; the privacy policy lists exactly what the service stores and for how long.

VPN apps are legal to use in India. The connection between your device and the Teal VPN server is encrypted, so the Wi-Fi you are on sees an encrypted connection to a Teal VPN server, not the sites you open.
