A Canada VPN gives you a Canadian IP address
A Canada VPN routes your traffic through a server in Canada, so every website you open sees a Canadian IP address instead of the one your home provider gave you.
That is the whole trick. Your internet provider sees one encrypted link to the VPN server and nothing past it; the site at the far end sees the server, which sits in Canada. If you are in the United States and need a Canadian service to treat you as if you were in Toronto, this is why you want one.
Teal VPN, made by Fxolio LLC, has Canada servers on Teal Free (500 MB a day, 2 devices) and on Teal Pro, with apps for Android, Android TV, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chromebook, plus Chrome, Edge and Firefox extensions, as of 25 October 2026.

Why people in the United States use a Canada VPN
Most people use a Canada VPN for one of three reasons: a Canadian IP for Canadian sites, an encrypted link on public Wi-Fi, or an encrypted route that stays open on strict networks where plain connections stop.
Canadians living abroad are the fourth group. Banking sites, local shops and government portals sometimes behave oddly from a foreign address, and a Canadian IP makes them behave normally again. On the privacy side, the encrypted tunnel keeps the operator of a café, hotel or airport network from reading which sites you visit.
Two honest limits. A VPN does not make you untraceable, because the VPN company and the sites you sign in to still know who you are. And no VPN is guaranteed to connect on every network. We think most people over-worry about which Canadian city the server sits in and under-worry about whether the app keeps browsing logs.
- A Canadian site or app treats a US address differently from a Canadian one
- You are Canadian, abroad, and your bank or local sites keep asking for extra checks
- You use café, hotel or airport Wi-Fi and want the whole link encrypted
- You are on a strict network and need a route that stays open
- You want one browser in Canada while the rest of the device stays put
Which VPNs have servers in Canada
Every option in the table below lists a Canada server as of 25 October 2026; the differences are cost, which devices it runs on, and whether it covers the whole device or only one browser.
We only ran Teal VPN this week, so the Teal row is the one we can vouch for. The other rows come from each vendor's own listing on 25 October 2026, not from our testing, and we did not check rival prices, so the cost column describes the pattern rather than a figure.
| Option | Runs on | Canada server | What the listing says (25 Oct 2026) | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Teal VPN | Android, Android TV, Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook; Chrome, Edge, Firefox extensions | Yes, 1 of 14 countries | Teal Secure obfuscation on every connection and plan; no browsing logs, no ads | Teal Free 500 MB a day; Teal Pro $7.99 a month, $24.00 for 6 months, $36.00 a year |
| Planet VPN lite (VPN Canada) | Chrome extension; iPhone, iPad and Mac app | Yes, several Canadian locations | Chrome: 4.6 from 119 ratings, 20,000 users, version 2.1.0 updated 19 April 2026; App Store: 4.7 from 311 ratings, 68.9 MB, no sign-up | No cost; one App Store reviewer in October 2025 reported a two-hours-a-day limit |
| NordVPN | Apps for the usual platforms | Yes, a dedicated Canada servers page | Markets its Canada servers as secure, fast and reliable | Paid; intro price that typically rises at renewal |
| Surfshark | Apps for the usual platforms | Yes, a dedicated Canada servers page | Markets a Canada server list for 2026 | Paid; intro price that typically rises at renewal |
| Hola, Urban VPN | Browser first | Yes | Both sell a Canadian IP from a browser extension | No cost in the browser |
Canada VPN options that cost nothing
You can get a Canadian IP without paying: Teal Free includes the Canada server with 500 MB a day on 2 devices, and Planet VPN lite lists Canada at no cost on Chrome and iPhone.
The catch is always a limit of some kind. Teal Free stops at 500 MB a day, which covers email, banking and a few hours of browsing but not a film. Planet VPN lite, according to an App Store reviewer in October 2025, gives two hours a day. Browser extensions, as noted above, cover only the browser.
The thing to watch with no-cost VPNs is how the company pays for the servers. Teal Free runs on the same servers as Teal Pro, shows no ads, keeps no browsing logs, and asks for nothing beyond an email address. We cannot speak for how the others fund themselves; read the privacy section of each listing before you install.

How to get a Canada IP address in five steps
Install the Teal VPN app, sign in, choose Canada, connect, then confirm the new address at tealvpn.com/ip-leak-test; the whole thing takes about two minutes on Windows.
The steps are the same on Android, Mac, Linux, Android TV and Chromebook. We have not tested the TV app this week, so if the location list looks different there, pick Canada from wherever the app shows countries.

Install the app for your device
Get Teal VPN for Android, Android TV, Windows, Mac, Linux or Chromebook from tealvpn.com. If you only need one browser in Canada, install the Chrome, Edge or Firefox extension instead.
Sign in or start on Teal Free
Teal Free needs only an email address. Teal Pro uses the same login after you buy at account.tealvpn.com.
Choose Canada from the location list
Open the locations screen and tap Canada. Teal VPN lists 14 countries; Canada is in the list on both plans.
Connect and wait for the status to change
Teal Secure obfuscation is on for every connection, so there is no setting to flip. If the network closes one route, the app tries other routes by itself; the automatic route switch runs without you touching anything.
Confirm the Canadian address
Open tealvpn.com/ip-leak-test. The IP line should show a Canadian address and the DNS servers should not belong to your home provider. For a second opinion, open any independent IP-check page in the same browser; both should agree.
You do not need a Canada VPN server address
With a VPN app you never type a server address; choosing Canada in the Teal VPN app is enough, and the app picks the server for you.
A manual address only matters for router setups or the built-in VPN screen of an operating system, which this page does not cover. People searching for a Canada VPN server address usually just want the step above: install the app, pick Canada, connect.
The Canada VPN Chrome extension question has a simpler answer. Teal VPN's Chrome, Edge and Firefox extensions put that browser in Canada while your games, mail and other apps stay on the normal route. That is handy when you want a Canadian shop in one tab and your home address everywhere else.

What Teal Pro costs for Canada servers as of October 2026
Teal Pro costs $7.99 a month, $24.00 for six months or $36.00 a year (which works out to $3.00 a month), with a 30-day money-back window, as of 25 October 2026, and Canada is included at every price.
The yearly plan covers up to 10 devices; monthly and six-month cover 5. You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or crypto.
Use the 30 days to test the Canada server on the network you actually use. No VPN is guaranteed to connect on every network, and we would rather you find that out while a refund is still on the table.
